About this cartoon...
As my other favourite movie, Jaws, hit a milestone 50th anniversary, I thought I’d create a Jaws cartoon to mark the occasion. In my opinion, an absolutely flawless film with some of the best characters written in movie history.
My second favourite movie of all time (beaten only by the absolute genius that is Jurassic Park) and this cartoon depicts the final moments of the film, where the shark attacks the Orca and its occupants; Brody, Quint and Hooper.
“You’re gonna need a bigger boat”
What an iconic line from the movie, uttered by Chief Brody whilst chumming the water to attract the monster shark! To add to the impact of this iconic line, I deliberately made the Orca much smaller – this also allowed me to add more focus on our key characters.
Now, I’m aware that Hooper wasn’t actually on board the Orca when Jaws struck, but I thought it would be odd without him. So I added him scrambling up the mast of the ship!
I also added some other fun details to this Jaws cartoon, such as Quint desperately trying to avoid the shark’s deadly maw and Brody leaning out of the window in an attempt to lure the shark away with a fish!
