This website contains copyrighted material, trademarks, and other proprietary information belonging to Nick Gowman. No material from this website may be sold, copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, displayed, posted, transmitted, distributed, modified, publicly performed, (…takes a deep breath!) or used in any derivative works based thereon or otherwise used for any public or commercial purpose without the prior written consent of Nick Gowman. (and breathe!)
Anyway, if you want to use something you’ve seen, sometimes it’s possible. Let me see what I can do, just contact me…
Payment
Depending on the project I usually need a deposit before starting any work. Full payment is normally required before I send over the final artwork.
Payment is due within 14 days of receipt of one of my invoices. I ideally request that 50% of the total cost is paid upon starting a project.
Artwork delivery
I will do my utmost to keep to agreed deadlines (if there are any). If there are any delays in the briefing of work, supplying of any reference materials or approvals of rough sketches, then I cannot always guarantee to keep to the originally agreed deadline and will not be held responsible for any losses incurred by missing the deadline. Nick Gowman Cartoons & Illustration cannot be held responsible for the loss of artwork by any third party.
Artwork cancellations
I’m hoping this doesn’t ever happen but if it does, Nick Gowman Cartoons & Illustration will retain ownership of all rights of the copyright and all original artwork (this includes preliminary sketches, designs and any other materials).
Should a project be cancelled before completion, I insist on retaining the initial 50% of costs invoiced.
Amendments
As always, I’m more than happy to make a series of amendments to a piece of artwork or cartoon until you are entirely satisfied with it. That’s not to say however that there may be an additional cost to the completion of a project if it goes above and beyond what was originally discussed and agreed.
If many extra revisions are required, these will be billed separately.
Alterations to artwork
I’m hoping that the artwork supplied to you is exactly as you intended and wouldn’t need any further alterations. If alterations are required, Nick Gowman Cartoons & Illustration shall be allowed the first option to make these alterations, wherever possible.
I would greatly appreciate it that if any alterations made to the artworks, other than myself, would contact me for permission in writing first.
Artwork usage
Artwork created by Nick Gowman Cartoons & Illustration shall not be used:
- You may not use content in a pornographic, defamatory or other unlawful manner.
- You may not use the original artwork files in any way that would allow others to download or redistribute.
Warranty of originality
Nick Gowman of Nick Gowman Cartoons & Illustration warrants and represents that, to the best of his knowledge, the works created for you as a client is original and has not been published previously.
Acceptance of terms and conditions
By submitting an order with Nick Gowman Cartoons & Illustration, the Client accepts these general terms and conditions as binding.
