About this cartoon...
All the way from Transylvania, ready for Halloween is my cartoon vampire character! Fangs bared as he utters the immortal phrase “I vant to suck your blood!”
The modern-day vampire is generally thought to be a fictitious entity, although some cultures still hold a belief in similar blood-sucking creatures, such as the chupacabra.
This Transylvanian terror is modelled after Count Dracula of page and movie fame and is a dominant figure within the horror genre. He’s even fabled to be able to transform into a bat!
Creating my cartoon vampire
This vector Dracula illustration was created firstly as a sketch. I then fully digitise in Adobe illustrator. Once base colours are included, I pick out some shades and highlights.
Sitting nicely alongside my other cartoon monsters, I’m looking forward to creating a whole series of Halloween characters!
